The capital of Beijing (Peking) is home to the imposing Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven complex, which was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is also home to massive Tiananmen Square. Further afield, the incredible Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure on earth, visible from space, whilst the Terracotta Warriors are simply spectacular.

China’s natural wonders are equally astonishing, including the rocks and pines of the cloud-covered Yellow Mountains, the rainbow lakes of Jiuzhaigou, Pandora's floating pinnacles in Zhangjiajie, the stunning Li River karst landscapes of Guilin, rugged Tiger Leaping Gorge, deserts of Mongolia and the majestic Tibetan plateau. The wide variety of regional Chinese cuisine is also legendary, ranging from Peking roast duck, Shanghainese soup dumplings, spicy hotpot in Chengdu, rice noodles in Guilin, and dim sum in Hong Kong. China’s green bamboo forests are the sole remaining habitat of the adorable Giant Panda.

Situated off the southeast coast of China, the mountainous island of Taiwan (formerly Portuguese Formosa) is known for its connoisseur teas, temples, night markets, delicious food, endemic butterflies & other wildlife, hot springs and sandy beaches.
