The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven emirates situated on the Arabian Peninsula, facing northwards towards the Persian Gulf.

The modern city of Dubai is the most famous, with its fabulous skyscrapers including the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. You can 'shop till you drop' at Dubai Mall, bargain in the traditional souks (markets) of Deira City and enjoy postcard views of the city skyline from The Palm, Jumeirah. One evening be sure take a dhow cruise along Dubai Creek.

Abu Dhabi is more spread out than Dubai, with its share of luxury hotels. Stroll along the Corniche Promenade, visit the Qasr al Watan presidential complex and majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The Formula One Grand Prix track and Ferrari World theme park can be found on Yas Island.

To the south is Oman, which combines the modern city of Muscat with ancient Nizwa, the green Jebel Akhdar Mountains, nomadic Bedouin desert camps, and emerald beaches where sea turtles nest. Oman is a wealthy country that offers an authentic Arabian cultural experience.
